If I can't go barefoot ... I'll go FiveFingers

So yesterday I made a try to Asheville - which is one of my fav places to go any day of the week. but today I was really stoked because it was a beautiful day - after all the cold SNOW we have had ... 67 degrees and I was getting NEW SHOES! YAY - that is always a plus! I had heard all the hype about Vibram FiveFingers (VFF) and they looked totally like something that was very do-able for me! You see VFF's separate your toes, like those cool toe socks... I had heard if you do not like socks / shoes ... VFF's are for you! One of my Photography mom friends got some and has been posting pics in our group. The more I seen them the more I wanted them ... so the Mast General Store in Ashevile was my shot at getting some!

As soon as I slid my bare piggies into the holes - I was SOLD! They were not lying when it says like walking barefoot - soooooo true. And I love to be barefoot. In the summer the bottoms of my feet are thick and tough like Indian skin. VFF's have a thick rubbery bottom so - me and VFF's went together like peanut butter and jelly!

They are no slip on shoe - it is quite a task to get these bad boys on ... but once they are on - they fit like a glove. The only problem for me right now is - my pinkie toe on my right foot "hides" under the next toe - so it is not liking the "segregation" of the toes! LOL ... but I am getting more and more used to them!
My mom made fun of me - called me a Bigfoot / Sasquatch - I know they are ugly but comfort is the key ... I can deal with ugly ... anyways - I think they are kinda cute!

so there you have it ... I am officially part of the "cool crowd" - here is the peanut butter to my jelly!

and one more

timeless treasures ...

so today I was doing my 365 photos ... and somedays I link the 2 projects together ... other times I don't - but today was a linked kinda day ... I love cameras - old ones, new ones, doesn't matter ... I will buy a camera at a yard sale or flea market in a heartbeat! LOVE THEM! I mentioned to my grandmother about my new found love of collecting cameras and she brought out my Great-Grandmother's old Kodak Brownie Fiesta camera ... and gave it to me, Let me just tell you how this made my life - haha ... well needless to say - this little camera is now ranked with some of my highest possesions - on the priceless list. My "maw" (great-grandmother's nickname) - bought this camera new back in the 60's or early 70's .. it has shot MANY pictures - Oh how I would LOVE to hear the stories it could tell ... it still has a roll of film in it, it is in the original box with the flash - and instructions for picture taking hints! I have seen MANY MANY pictures in my granny's old albums that this little gem has shot! I just had to share this today ... along with my self portrait 365 - will all my treaures. Enjoy!

28/365 - Priceless to me ...
